Overview

The Mount Everest Base Camp trek begins and ends in Lukla, following the scenic trail along the Dudh Koshi River. The route passes through Sagarmatha National Park and leads to Namche Bazaar, the bustling trade hub of the Everest region and a popular stop for acclimatization.

Though the trek can be physically demanding, the stunning views of lush forests, terraced fields, rolling hills, and towering peaks make every step worthwhile. After a rest and acclimatization day in Namche, the journey continues toward Tengboche, home to one of the region’s most important monasteries.
