This moderately challenging trek takes you to Nangi Village (2,260 m), nestled between Beni and Poon Hill, and to the remote Khopra Village (3,660 m), located just north of Ghorepani. Nangi is gaining recognition as a sustainable, eco-friendly village that provides vocational training in sustainable agriculture for locals and even supports a small cottage industry producing handmade paper.
Khopra Village offers some of the best panoramic vistas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs—the Dhaulagiri range stretches an impressive 120 km in length.
During the trek, you will be treated to breathtaking views of majestic peaks including Nilgiri (7,061 m), Bhara Shikhar (7,647 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m, the world’s 10th highest), Annapurna II (7,937 m), Annapurna III (7,555 m), Annapurna IV (7,525 m), Machapuchare (6,997 m), Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m), Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Lamjung Himal (6,987 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), and Tilicho (7,134 m).

The Annapurna Khopra Ridge Trek usually begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Birethanti, where your trekking adventure officially starts. From Birethanti, you trek through Tikhedhunga and continue to Ulleri, then onward to Ghorepani. Along the way, you’ll have chances to visit nearby villages and interact with locals, gaining insight into their unique culture and lifestyle.
The trek offers spectacular views of the Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhare, and Hiunchuli mountains. After reaching Ghorepani, you’ll hike early the next morning to Poon Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the snow-capped Himalayas. From Poon Hill, enjoy detailed panoramic views of glaciers and majestic peaks including Hiunchuli, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, and Machhapuchhare.
